Spoofs and Proofs is the brainchild of the enigmatic and mercurial David Culver Brenner. Some days, we are told, his mood is light-hearted and practically frivolous. That’s when he produces the satirical “Spoofs” that fill half this site. A day or two, or even moments later, he can mysteriously become deadly serious and pen the “Proofs,” which are the incontrovertibly true essays and axioms that make up the other half.
